Scope of Services: YPS Photography provides photography and videography services (including but not limited to weddings, events, family portraits, and commercial sessions). Specific deliverables (hours, images, editing, or video coverage) will be defined in each signed client contract.
Additional Services: Services beyond the agreed scope (e.g., extra hours, additional edits, expedited delivery) will incur additional fees, communicated in writing before being performed.
Deposit Requirement: A 50% non-refundable deposit (retainer) is required to secure any booking. Dates are not held without this payment and a signed contract.
Balance: The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event/session date, unless otherwise stated in writing. Final images or video will not be delivered until payment is received in full.
Payment Methods: Accepted via credit card, bank transfer, or other agreed methods. Late payments may accrue a 1.5% monthly fee on the outstanding balance.
Client Cancellations: All cancellations must be submitted in writing. The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before the scheduled service will forfeit all payments made. At YPS Photography’s discretion, rescheduling may be offered for unforeseen emergencies, subject to availability and possible rescheduling fees.
Photographer Cancellations: In the rare event YPS Photography must cancel due to illness, accident, or unforeseen emergency, liability is limited to a full refund of payments received. A suitable replacement photographer may be arranged where possible.
YPS Photography retains full creative control over style, editing, and final image selection. While client preferences are considered, artistic judgment rests solely with the photographer. Dissatisfaction based on personal preferences does not constitute grounds for a refund.
Edited images/video are typically delivered within 4–8 weeks, depending on project scope. Expedited delivery may be available for an additional fee. Raw/unprocessed files are not provided unless expressly agreed upon in writing.
In the event of equipment failure, natural disaster, illness, or other events beyond YPS Photography’s control, liability is strictly limited to a refund of all amounts paid. YPS Photography is not liable for consequential damages, missed shots due to venue restrictions, weather, interference by guests, or client/subject behavior. Clients and guests must follow any safety protocols in effect at the venue or under applicable law.
Photographer’s Rights: YPS Photography retains copyright to all images and video created. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, YPS Photography may use content for portfolio, promotional, and marketing purposes.
Client License: Clients receive a personal-use license to display, print, and share media for non-commercial purposes. Commercial use, resale, or modification without written consent is strictly prohibited.
Exclusive Rights: Available by separate agreement and fee.
A travel fee applies for sessions more than 30 km outside YPS Photography’s service area. Additional expenses (lodging, permits, parking, etc.) will be billed to the client.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Canada, and any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of Canadian courts.
We collect personal information such as names, contact details, addresses, payment information, and photographs containing identifiable individuals to facilitate bookings and deliver contracted services.
Information is used only for booking, service delivery, communication, and (with client consent) promotional purposes. Information may be shared with third parties only as necessary for service fulfillment (e.g., printing labs, delivery services) or as required by law.
Client information is securely stored and accessible only to authorized personnel. Information is retained only for as long as required for legal, operational, or archival purposes. Clients may request deletion of personal data after service completion.
Clients may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data at any time. Clients may withdraw consent for future promotional use of images by submitting a written request. This does not affect prior published materials.
By booking services, clients consent to this Privacy Policy. YPS Photography may update this policy from time to time, with changes posted on our website. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
